Musically the track was inspired by the experience of walking along the Potomac river in Washington DC while hearing the water and seagulls as well as the side conversation of a couple that seemed to be making some fairly grandiose plans. The lyrics were inspired by the poetry of @DruidRain but were modified to loosely fit the conversation overheard in DC. The beginning acoustic guitar part was a nod to a circuit bending artist I’d watched with my brother a few years back. I actually used an iPhone Theremin app with a Kaoss pad to recreate the glitch sound. When I first stumbled across Lisa VonH’s soundcloud I knew her organic, emotional and passionate vocal delivery was a perfect fit for the song.
